The pride of the sheep is in the Shepherd, and the glory of the branches is in the Vine.
In the previous edition of “What Can I Flaunt?” we discovered a profound truth: Jesus must be the focus of our flaunting. True boasting only becomes beautiful when it’s centered on Him.
In this new episode, we’ll build on that truth by exploring what it really means to flaunt Jesus — beginning with understanding where we stand in our relationship with Him.
🌿 The Many Metaphors of Our Union with Christ
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus used vivid analogies to help us grasp the depth of His relationship with believers. Each metaphor paints a unique picture of connection, dependence, and love:
Bridegroom and Bride — Matthew 9:15, John 3:29, Revelation 19:7–9
Shepherd and Sheep — John 10:11–16
Vine and Branches — John 15:1–8
Head and Body — Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22–23
Foundation and Building/Temple — Matthew 16:18
Master and Servants — John 13:13–16, Matthew 25:14–30
Salt and Saltiness — Matthew 5:13
Light Source and Light — Matthew 5:14–15
Take a moment and reflect on this list. Isn’t it awe-inspiring? Each image reminds us that there is no real life without Jesus. Without Him, our existence loses meaning and purpose.
No wonder the psalmist exclaimed:
“What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him?” — Psalm 8:4
🕊️ The Source of All We Are
The pride of the sheep is found in the Shepherd, and the glory of the branches rests in the Vine.A house may appear beautiful, but its endurance depends on the strength of its foundation. The body finds its coordination and purpose only through the head.
Likewise, the servant finds relevance in the Master, and salt or light lose their worth when disconnected from their source.Jesus is that source — the light within us, the salt that gives us flavor, and the power that sustains every part of our being.
💭 So, What Can a Christian Flaunt?
Truly, nothing in us is worth flaunting.
Mentally, we are inconsistent — prone to biases, impulsive emotions, and forgetfulness. We are easily swayed by fear, desire, and social pressure. Physically, we are fragile — susceptible to sickness, weakness, and ageing. And morally, we often stumble — our intentions falter, promises break, and discipline wavers.
Man is a paradox: aspiring to greatness, yet constantly tripping over his own flaws.
But there is hope.
Because as servants, we have an all-competent Master.
As branches, we draw life from an unshakable Vine.
So yes — there is something we can flaunt.
Not our strength, not our wisdom, not our perfection.
We can flaunt Jesus.
The only One truly worth boasting about.
🌟 Keep Flaunting Jesus!
Let your life be a reflection of His light.
Let your words reveal His grace.
Let your confidence rest not in who you are, but in whose you are.
Keep flaunting Jesus — for He alone is our glory. 🙌

Thank you very much Dr.
Only Jesus is worthy of my Flaunt.
IT IS EITHER JESUS OR JESUS; NO ANY OTHER OPTION.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
GOD BLESS YOU.
